Teaching
Brian teaches regularly at the West Norfolk Arts Centre where he has built up a following of regular, enthusiastic attendees. He teaches in many media including drawing, watercolour, abstracts and pen and wash.
The courses range from one-day workshops to one-week intensive courses. For further details please contact the West Norfolk Arts Centre directly. Brian undertakes painting holidays/courses for West Norfolk Arts Centre in locations such as Venice, Tuscany, Dubrovnik and Egypt. This year the course is again being held in Venice but the course is already full. For availability and booking please contact West Norfolk Arts Centre directly.
DVDs
In association with both books, Brian has released a further three DVDs following his watercolour DVD, Ryder Round Norfolk. All these DVDs are available from The Society of All Artists.
Brian's fifth DVD has just been released from Townhouse Films called Oil Landscapes Quick and Easy and shows Brian painting along the North Norfolk coast.
A further DVD by Townhouse Films, based upon a 'sketchbook' idea, the title still to be announced, is due to be filmed in March 2009 and released in April 2009. This film will again feature Brian painting outdoors in Norfolk, showing different techniques that can be used by artists in their sketch books.
Books
As well as writing articles for Leisure Painter Magazine, Brian has produced a number of books. In 2002, his book, Beyond Realism about abstract painting was released by David & Charles and sold nearly 10,000 copies.
His second book, also published by David & Charles, Painting Watercolour Landscapes With Confidence was released in 2005 with 10,000 copies going to the USA alone, prior to any sales in the UK and Europe.
Brian is a regular contributor to the Leisure Painter magazine published by The Artists publishing company and writes articles on all aspects of drawing and painting.
